Community parks are larger parks that usually have parking lots, bathroom, sports fields or other facilities, etc.
Almond Park
5901 Almond Avenue, Orangevale
This large park has two play-structures and swings. The smaller one has rubber turf, and is on the larger side for an under-five play structure. The play area for older kids is over wood chips and has very tall slides and standard play equipment and lots of room. (Photos by Kirk T., Jacqueline J.)
Orangevale Community Park
Filbert & Oak Avenue, Orangevale
Features a large play-structure Has 4 or 5 slides, and one very tall one. Also has 2 toddler swings and 2 regular swings. There are nature areas and paths around this park as well.. There is an (unpaved?) parking area on Oak that faces the play structures that may be more convenient than the main lot. (Photo by Steve S.)
Orangevale Community Center Park

Not to be confused with the Community Park two blocks away, the Community Center also has a playground, but no swings. Nice shade from trees. (Photo by Vinny)
Orangevale Youth Center Park

This small park, almost across the street from the community center park may not be super exciting unless you are here for the baseball field, as it only parts of the playground that remain are a standalone slide and swings (2 baby, 2 regular). (Photo by Google Maps)
Pecan Park

Norma Hamlin Park
5624 Snipes Blvd, Orangevale
Formerly called Snipes Pershing Park, this park is tucked away behind Madison and Main, and features a fairly new play structure. Behind the park is a large amount of open space, trails, and an old barn. No restrooms or parking lot. (Photo by George L.)
