Although on the surface, this set looks fairly specialized, it’s really almost all common types of lego bricks, and pretty easy to build. Stickers aside, there’s only a few parts you may need to substitute, such as sink faucets.

Here’s how ours turned out, using whatever pieces we had on hand:

We used green circles for the pizzas because that’s my son’s favorite color. Tan circles might have looked more realistic. You’ll notice we had to make some modifications for the roof. We basically attached a flat plate to the roof with a hinge.

Here’s everything from the back-side:

All of our windows with shutters seem to have suddenly gone missing, and the 1×4 windows were all in use for another model already, so we just used a deeper window, which was fine with my son because it left enough room for him to put a toolbox in the trunk of the pizza van. Why a pizza van needs a toolbox? Don’t ask…maybe it breaks down a lot? Overall, the intention gets across just fine, though there’s a couple pieces that would certainly add to the effect, next time we do a pick-a-brick set.

So you want to make it too now?

The instruction booklet (PDF) is available to download from Lego’s customer service website. If you print it in booklet mode and staple the pages together, it only takes 3 sheets of paper! Not sure how to print booklets? Here’s how.
