Parts Needed

Most of the parts needed are pretty straightforward from the pictures. There are however a couple of kind of tricky pieces:

The mud-gaurd: 3787 You’ll notice this model uses a mud-guard with no studs on it. If you’re like us, you probably mostly have normal mud-guards with studs like so:3788. Well, in the model, right on top of the mud-guard we have a turntable tile:  3680c01. If you just put the turn-table tile on a normal mud-guard with studs, the pieces on top won’t rotate. So when we built this, we had to add a spacer tile.

Oh, and that pesky helicopter tail-rotor mount 3481 behind the computer? If you’re not plentiful in helicopter parts, yeah, I’d just leave that piece out. Originally when we built this, I couldn’t find that part, but then one turned up when I was looking for the brick with the handles on it, so I put it on.

Our Build

Aside from the notes above, our pirate “space-men” are having fun on their moon-rover. Couldn’t find any air-tanks, or other proper “space” parts, so we had to substitute a life-jacket, and motorcycle helmets.
